City Island Yacht Club is proud to have an active team of young racers competing in regattas in and around New York. We support our particularly ambitious and competitive sailors on their path through youth sailing in any form we can. The athletes receive general advice and guidance by Program Director Ira Biegeleisen, and further support by a carefully selected team of highly qualified staff. We also supply our sailors with equipment and boats to allow sailors from all socioeconomic backgrounds to compete on our team. This program is an ideal step on any young sailor’s path to college sailing and an international career in sailing.
