Leopold M. Brandl is the head coach of City Island Yacht Club and an internationally recognized sailor himself. He competes on the Olympic circuit (currently in his second Olympic campaign) and races big racing yachts professionally. Leopold has, furthermore, coached national, world, and European Champions in the Opti, 420, and 49er FX. When he is not on the water, Leopold can be found in the Physics and Math departments of Columbia University.
