CIYC Junior Sailing Program is Looking for a Seasonal Aquatics Director/Progressive Swim Instructor

DATES: June 27–August 12

HOURS: 8:45am–4:15pm M-F

SALARY: $30-40/hr. depending on experience

JOB DESCRIPTION:

The Aquatics Director is responsible for the leadership and day-to-day operations of the aquatics department including safe beach operation, life guard supervision, swimmer capability assessment, program development, strategic planning and budget control while complying with the highest safety standards and practices. The Aquatics Director reports to the Program Director.

Scope of Responsibilities:

• Safe operation, cleanliness, and maintenance of the beach
• Aquatics program development, promotion, implementation, coordination and supervision
• Oversee lifeguard
• Program and staff administration
• Progressive swim instruction

Qualifications and Requirements:

• 21 years old or older
• Minimum 18 weeks Lifeguarding experience
• CPR/AED certified for professional rescuer
• Certified Pool Operator (CPO) license
• WSI (American Red Cross) or comparable certification
• Current Lifeguard Certification or Lifeguard Instructor certification
• First Aid certified
• Progressive Swim Instructor certification
• Excellent communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills
