Busy Weekend: Work Parties, Open House, Restaurant Opening

Work Parties

If it’s spring, it’s time to clean up and make the Club shine. Wear your boots, bring your gloves, and report for duty. 

Building and Grounds Committee is  looking for work party volunteers need for various tasks including outdoor touch up painting, power washing, minor asphalt patching, installation of new LED lights in men’s area and other tasks as required. Remember, there is a 2 work party per season requirement for each active member.

Lunch will be provided but don’t worry, George is not the one cooking 🙂

Open House

CIYC is the hidden gem of the local sailing community. The sailing grounds are beautiful with stunning views of NYC, and mesmerizing sunsets. Our members are welcoming and helpful, and our 117-yr old Clubhouse is elegant and charming. Explore the many ways to become a member.

Second Open House of the season is between 10:30 AM and 3:30 PM this Saturday.

The Galley Opens on Saturday, April 23 at 12pm

Chef Jaime Jeffery

Chef Jaime Jeffrey, City Island Yacht Club’s new Steward, is looking forward to introducing members to her exceptional culinary and baking skills at “The Galley” restaurant on April 23.
 
Chef Jaime, as she likes to be called, was born in Tobago and moved with her family to Mt. Vernon, NY, when she was seven. She started cooking as a young teen “because it was what she liked to do best,” and she has made a career of it. 
 
Hours
Saturday, April 23 12pm-9pm
Sunday, April 24 12pm-5pm
