The City Island YC hosted its first race in 1911 and continues a tradition hosting well run regattas
including the 2005 J/29 North American Championship, and the 2006 City Island YC Leukemia Cup Regatta. A member of the Yacht
Racing Association of Long Island Sound since 1914, and a founding member of the Eastchester Bay Yacht Racing Association
(EBYRA), City Island Yacht Club offers one of the most extensive racing programs on Long Island Sound. The City Island YC also
has a history of fielding winners in national and regional regattas. Yachts including Hustler, Chaika,
Whirlwind, Exhilaration and Exuberance continue this tradition.
