City Island Yacht Club is known as the Club in Western Long Island Sound for a great dining experience, deep mooring and
docking area, friendly people and a sailor’s dream. Its captains and boats are well-known in the racing community for
their successes and eagerness to help fellow racers and boaters.
City Island Yacht Club (CIYC) has many amenities that make the sailing experience a rewarding one:
- 24/7 launch service throughout the boating season.
- Deep docking area for boats with drafts over 9 feet.
- Boat hauling and resident yard services.
- Sheltered deep-water mooring field.
- Reciprocal privileges with clubs locally and nationally.
- Dining facilities that offer air-conditioned dining or outside veranda dining with a wonderful view of NYC.
- Our professionally trained chef's preparations offer the finest dining experience on the Island.
- Yacht racing is alive and well at CIYC. It is a member of the Eastchester Bay Yacht Racing Association and the Yacht Racing Association of Long Island.
- Club cruising takes advantage of the wonderful waters and shorelines of Long Island Sound and beyond.
- Club social events are frequent and well attended, as a good portion of our members do not have a vessel, but want to enjoy the Club’s most attractive facilities.
- Education is not lost on the Club either, as it hosts the City Island Power Squadron and the Columbia University Sailing Team. Additionally, extemporaneous programs of interest to boaters and sailors are hosted at the Club.
- Other Amenities such as showers, dockside electricity, ice and water are available.
- Active Members can also rent dinghy racks and storage lockers.
